Organs Of Benccima

The Annual General Meeting or General Assembly is the highest organ of the Chamber. It holds at the end of every financial year of the Chamber and sometimes extend to about three months constitutional grace period.

WELCOME TO BENCCIMA

The chamber together with Warri and Sapele Chambers of Commerce formed one umbrella body in the then Bendel State and christened it Bendel Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BACCIMA). However, these founding Chambers of BACCIMA were autonomous and maintained their separate identities while the umbrella body was operated as a cofederal arrangement among the different Chambers in the then Bendel State of Nigeria.

WHAT WE DO

AGRICULTURE

The Benin Chamber of Commerce through its regular advocacy programme sensitizes the State Government towards offering special incentives to investors who show genuine interest in the agro and agro-allied subsector especially processing, preservation, and export of local agricultural produce.

MINING

The mining industry in Nigeria generally continues to grow and draw more media attention yearly. While accounting for just 0.3% of the country’s GDP, it remains a lucrative one, as the future holds even more prospects.

Haulage And Logistics

This involves the transportation of minerals and products from mining sites to other locations. You can play different haulage roles in the mining industry, while building a wide network of organizations to serve.

Our Memebers

BENCCIMA maintains a strong, well screened membership and is open to all registered businesses having offices or representation in Edo State. Membership is voluntary and non-discriminatory. Presently, the Chamber has well over one hundred and twenty (120) active members spread across the three senatorial district of Edo State. Majority of our members are in the small and medium scale sector. We have made substantial effort to improve the performance of MSMEs by organizing seminars and workshops and also by helping them to identify markets for their goods and services.
